Built around Tony Iommi's guitar riffs, Geezer Butler's lyrics, Bill Ward's dark tempo drumbeats, and topped by Osbourne's eerie vocals, their debut album Black Sabbath and Paranoid were commercially successful and also gained considerable radio airplay. Osbourne recalls, however, that, "in those days, the band wasn't very popular with the women". Though his superlative guitar skills never actually made it onto an Osbourne album, at one point, Steve Vai was virtually confirmed to succeed Zakk Wylde for 1995’s ‘Ozzmosis,’ LP. So while Ozzmosis is the seventh studio album by the English heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne. Recorded in Paris and New York with producer Michael Beinhorn, it was released on 23 October 1995 by Epic Records. Wylde's first stint with Ozzy ended in 1996. After coming out of his first retirement, Osbourne recruited Steve Vai for lead guitar parts on ' Ozzmosis', whom Wylde shortly replaced.
