Ozzy Osbourne Has A Bad Reputation As ‘The Prince Of Darkness’ The list of crazy Ozzy Osbourne stories is possibly impossible to complete as even the musician himself doesn’t remember most of them. However, the most infamous incident that perhaps started all of this is when Osbourne bit the head of a bat in the middle of a show, thinking that it was a rubber toy. Ozzy is my favourite singer, he has a killer voice and persona, just goes perfectly with the music he does. He himself said he cant sing tho lol. He was good during the sabotage era and a bit after. But no he's not technically an amazing singer, he got famous because of his stage presence as a frontman and made the signature "prince of darkness" sound of black sabbath. Sabbath with other singers is like a completely different band (and good in their own right), but it wasn't Ozzy's technical singing that made him or the classic sabbath Ozzy Osbourne, a founding member of Black Sabbath who earned the nickname "Prince of Darkness," died on Tuesday, his family confirmed. • I'm singer, songwriter and entertainer. I’m Ozzy Osbourne, also known as the Prince of Darkness. My first new solo album in 10 years, Ordinary Man, is out now! Ask Me Anything. Ozzy Osbourne's Final Concert: Watch the Singer's Enthusiastic Performance Less Than 3 Weeks Before He Died Source: mega Ozzy Osbourne performed one last time on July 5. Strictly speaking as a vocalist, what do you think makes Ozzy stand out in the field of rock/metal vocalists? Ozzy is a great singer but he hasn't exactly been all that good live the last 10 or so years. I got to see Sabbath during the 13 tour and yeah, Ozzy is obviously not going to sound like he did in the 70s let alone in the 80s or even 90s but his singing left a lot to be desired. today all i see i hate and dislike of Ozzy Osbourne, never seen any just reason for it. Maybe its cause im a Ozzy fanboy? but ive never seen any just reason to hate the guy or his voice, changed music forever so many fucking times, people underestimate how difficult songs like mr crowley or crazy train are to sing. 13: Undercover - This really does not need to exist. Its so bad that I forget it even exists. 12: Black Rain - There are a few decent songs, but most of the album is garbage. 11: Scream - Like Black Rain, but its slightly less garbage. 10: Ozzmosis - Personally I hate this, but its better than the last three and Perry Mason is a good contender for Ozzy's best post NMT song. 9: Down to Earth Neil Carter, the guitarist of UFO, was interviewed by Rock Interview Series, where he shared his opinion about singer Ozzy Osbourne. Here’s what Carter said: “Watching them, I mean, I’ve never been a massive fan of Ozzy’s voice. I like Ozzy himself, and he’s a very funny man, extremely funny guy, but watching that band on stage with Tommy Aldridge, Rudy Sarzo, and then you’ve got Facebook X Reddit Email Ozzy Osbourne, the vocalist of heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath, has died. He was 76. The self-styled Prince of Darkness turned the grim, creeping feeling of late ’60s Ozzy Osbourne’s Legacy Will Live On For Decades Besides being filled with emotions and resonating with fans, Ozzy also inspired millions to embrace their own uniqueness. As Southside Performance studio said, “Ozzy Osbourne’s voice is a great reminder that you don’t need a traditionally ‘beautiful’ voice to be successful as a singer.” Iconic heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne, who became a huge solo success and later a reality TV star after being fired from Black Sabbath, has died. The problem with Ozzy is that he was a complete mess as a human and not a very good singer, yet achieved wild success thanks to the superior musicianship of his band mates. As a singer with sabbath he was great, he reached his full potential as a solo artist. And let’s be honest, if he wasn’t as successful the impact of the multiple Sabbath’s Reunions wouldn’t have been as big. OZZY Osbourne died “surrounded by family” at home with his wife Sharon and their children by his side, a source close to the family has said. His death, aged 76, comes just weeks after Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy were famous friends, and given that both were known for living in excess, one might assume Ozzy’s immediate memory of the Motörhead singer would involve booze and speed. Ozzy doesn't get any love on this subreddit. Albums like Blizzard of Oz and Diary of A Madman never get mentioned. Ozzy is one of my favorite metal acts. He has released solid albums all his career and his last is still heavy as shit when you look at him being 72yr old and delivering his trademark performance. A metal God. I would like to think all metalheads hold Ozzy on a pedestal. Do you? Ozzy Osbourne is incredibly overrated as a musician. I understand his on/off stage antics made him legendary as a “rockstar” prototype, but his vocals and lyrics are average to bad. If he wasn’t surrounded by two of the best guitarists in their genre, I doubt he’d be as famous as he is.
