Fans at the time were hoping Ozzy would go back to the sound of the older records, people were saying Ozzmosis is over produced. Ozzmosis is a pretty good album if you love Ozzy’s voice – and let’s be honest, who doesn’t – but don’t give a rat’s ass about the guitars. Or heavy metal for that matter. Many bands that have been around since the 70's and 80's and are still releasing albums today still sound like music that could have come from back then. It's not exactly a bad thing, but Ozzmosis, on the other hand, is a musical mishap by veteran rock icon Ozzy Osbourne that even the likes of Geezer Butler and Rick Wakeman can’t completely save.
