Artists have painted murals of Osbourne across the city. And just a few weeks ago, Birmingham’s lord mayor awarded Osborne and his bandmates the freedom of the city. A spectacular new piece of street art celebrating the legacy of Black Sabbath, Birmingham’s most famous music export, is being created in the city centre by globally recognised spray artist Mr Murals. Commissioned by Central BID Birmingham and supported by Network Rail, the stunning 120ft mural will adorn a prominent wall on Navigation Street, next to Birmingham New Street station. And Ozzy Osbourne has one of the most recognizable voices and faces in rock ‘n’ roll. The Prince of Darkness has finally been commemorated on Birmingham’s streets. Local graffiti artist, Robbie Jeffcott, has paid tribute to the famous Brummie Ozzy Osbourne with a mural located in the Custard Factory’s Gibb Square on the Digbeth Estate.
